Graphic Thought Facility

Thru Mar 13

One of the hottest design companies in London at the moment is Graphic Thought Facility (GTF). GTF was established in 1990 by Paul Neale and Andrew Stevens, both born in 1966. GTF is involved in a variety of national and international projects for both public and private clients, and one of the group's features is the wide range of genres in which it works, without being attached to any particular one. It's activities are not limited to posters, editorial work, and corporate identities. Particularly since the late 1990s, GTF has taken on a significant number of three-dimensional projects such as exhibition graphics and product development, which includes the MeBox, which is also highly popular in Japan. This exhibition introduces a wide variety of their projects, and may suggest one possible direction in which GTF design is headed. This exhibition at the DDD Gallery will display many of the works of this London-based design consultancy studio.

Both being members of the Les Compagnons de l'Art, Belgian artists Paul Delvaux et René Magritte have many things in common. Both are known as surrealists but their completed work are as different as can be. Magritte expresses every day objects such as apples, the sky, rocks, hats, etc and combines them to create a non-existing object and Delvaux draws beautiful large eyed nude women in strange daylight. Along with their art, works from the professors at the Academie Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels and works from artists which inspired both will also be on display.
