Candle Night @ Osaka City 2009

Jun 4 (Nishi-Umeda) and 11 (Chayamachi)

Nishi-Umeda and Chayamachi, Osaka

By turning off the lights for two hours to burn candles instead of power in a busy Oasaka commercial district, this biannual event will support the ecological movement. Though probably not quite as bright without all the electric Wattage, the darkness does offer a different view of the area, and you’ll be surpirsed at the perspective the candlight brings. The idea is that if you turn off the lights, kindness and tenderness will switched on in your heart. So let’s make the most of this event and think about planet Earth. Both locations also feature unplugged live music.

Time: 6pm – 10pm • Getting there: JR Osaka stn *Hanshin / Hankyu Railway Umeda stn • Admission: free TEL: 06-6446-1726 • www.candle-night-osaka.jp
