Osaka — Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto has launched a new political party to compete in the next election for the House of Representatives. The Nihon Ishin no Kai, or Japan Restoration party, includes seven current Diet members. The new party’s vision is to make Japan a self-sustaining nation, by focussing on regional communities and individuals.
