Venetian Renaissance Paintings from the Gallerie dell’Accademia, Venice
Oct 22, 2016 - Jan 15, 2017¥1500
In celebration of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy, an exhibition of some 60 superior works from the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice is being held in Japan for the first time. This display features paintings created during the Italian Renaissance between the 15th and 17th centuries, a time when Venetian artists took an exceptional turn away from well-ordered compositions in favor of bold, dramatic designs rich with color and emotion. Guests can savor this special opportunity to view an array of masterpieces by some of the most outstanding painters from the City of Water, including Giovanni Bellini, Carlo Crivelli, Vittore Carpaccio, Tiziano Vecellio, Jacopo Tintoretto, and Paolo Veronese.
