Wall Gardens of Kyoto

In Japan’s ancient capital of Kyoto, garden space is at a premium, but that doesn’t stop the locals from cultivating their seasonal favourites. In this series, we chat to residents with some of the most well-tended gardens in the city about the joy they find in these creating small but abundant green spaces.

This time we meet Sayuri, who gives us a tour of what’s growing around her home with the help of friend, Takako.
