Nakanoshima Food Lover’s Market

You might be wondering how the Nakanoshima neighborhood, home of Osaka’s urban oasis located just south of the Umeda business district, could get any more appealing. It’s already home to a gorgeous park and waterfront views, not to mention museums and art galleries galore. But what if the opportunity to purchase delectable and healthy local food was added to the mix? Enter the Food Lover’s Market, a monthly celebration of gourmet goods in one of Osaka’s most beautiful and beloved areas. Located at the Nakanoshima fishing port, about a 10 minute walk from Awaza Station, the market provides the chance to shop for locally grown food sold by people who are truly passionate about their work. The Food Lover’s Market is part of an effort to encourage buying local, so a visit is not only fun but going towards a good cause.
